The data validation screen in Microsoft Excel.

SpreadsheetWEB includes support for the validation function found in Excel. This function forces the end user to input a value that fits to certain rules that are supported within Excel including changing allowable values to solely whole numbers, decimals, dates, times, or within certain text lengths. Criteria within those ranges are also supported with functions such as "between, not between, equal to, not equal to, greater than, less than, greater than or equal to, less than or equal to, and minimum/maximum fields."

Customizable error alerts can be converted with SpreadsheetWEB.

Error Alert messages can also be created within Excel and converted using SpreadsheetWEB. They can be used to warn an end-user when the data they have entered into a validation input cell doesn't follow the rules set for validation. Stop, warning, and information icons as well as title and error messages are supported, allowing the user to convert fully customized error messages from Excel into their web applications.

Simply check "Validation" under the Advanced Input Control Properties.

Validation can be enabled only after the validation rules are set within Excel. To enable validation on a certain input cell while converting, simply click on the […] button to the right of the selected input cell and check the box next to "Validation." The option is only available for text box input cells.
